BEHEMOTH - And The Forests Dream Eternally

Behemoth の1995年EP『And the Forests Dream Eternally』。レビューするのは1997年のEP『Bewitching The Pomerania』を含む再発盤（metallum）。

『And the Forests Dream Eternally』の録音自体は1st『Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic)』の数ヶ月前。1曲目 "Transylvanian Forest"、7曲目 "Hidden in the Fog" が共通して収録されている。

"Hidden in the Fog" はアコースティックギターの切ないエンディングのある1stアルバムのバージョンの方が絶対良い。

荒々しい音質の1stに比べて大分整合感のある音になっている。先に録音したこちらのEPの方が音が整っているという事は、あの音は意図的に荒いままにしたのだろうか。

新録曲は3曲。どの曲も1stにあっても違和感のない良曲。5曲目 "Forgotten Empire of Dark Witchcraft" は Bathory トリビュート曲。

2曲目 "Moonspell Rites" は93年の3rdデモ『Thy Winter Kingdom』収録曲の、4曲目 "Pure Evil and Hate" は94年の4thデモ『...from the Pagan Vastlands』のプリプロ盤収録曲の再録バージョン。

後半3曲が『Bewitching The Pomerania』収録曲。

フルアルバム並みの8曲40分。聴きごたえのある再発盤。
